INT. SCHOOL BUILDING CORRIDOR-EVENING  

SARAH a young external student at her new school not being very sociable and shy  

 

SARAH is walking down the corridor heading towards a classroom for a detention that she had put herself in.  She arrives at the door and before opening it she takes a brief moment of pause before entering almost as if she was second guessing herself. She then enters the classroom and is then greeted by the teacher that is there. 

 

Mr PHILIP a fairly young teacher with a good personality and good attitude towards most things. 

 

Mr PHILIP 

Oh, you’re already here uh I need a minute to sort some 

Things out so take a seat and I will be with you in a minute. 

 

 

SARAH simply responds with a nod and then goes to take a seat within the classroom. Afterwards she looks around the classroom at each of the other people within There and starts to identify each of the other people that are in there with her identifying them and lists possible reasons as to why they are here. 

 

JIMMY a young child struggling with his mental disorder struggles with understanding and coping with most things 

Mr SMITH the learning support assistant to Jimmy who cares a lot about Jimmy who is there to support him. 

ELIZEBETH the Goth kid who is going through one of their phases in life and has a bad personality 

CHADBRADSWORTH the jock that is trying to prove his significance to those around him by whatever means  

 

SARAH (to herself) 

A special needs kid probably in there because  

He’s behind on some work or he doesn’t understand it.  

With him an LSA properably here to help the kid for some 

Reason.  A jock trying to mess around with his ball doing tricks trying 

 to impress those around him for some confidence thing and lack of brains. 

And then the Goth kid who is in a rebellious phase thinking that resisting the system is by breaking rules and ignoring teachers.   

Lastly the teacher themselves a weird specimen to be sure he 

 does not follow standard behaviours so his role is hard to cast 

 regardless this is one weird grouping.  

 

SARAH takes some equipment out of her bag and prepares herself for the detention she has at hand and for some reason she feels it is not going to be an average detention by usual standards.  

 

 

Mr SMITH 

Are we ready to begin sir? 

 

Mr PHILIP 

Almost this computer is on the fritz again 

It’s almost as if the things designed to fail. 

 

SARAH shot a look of disapproval at Mr PHILIPs way and then decided to get out some work which required doing and tried to get that done however the room was not the best room to currently work in from the distractions that were generated from this. The Goth kid playing on their phone creating a large amount of noise within the room and every remarked to ask her to lower the volume had resulted in a large increase in sound to annoy the person. The Jock was in the back attempting to pull of impressive skills using a ball but gaining no attention for these attributes. The autistic kid and there LSA were being somewhat noisy trying to discuss the problems that the kid is experiencing but to no avail. Lastly the teacher was trying frantically in order to get the computer to work so that this detention can officially start.  

 

CHADBRADSWORTH 

Hey new kid  

 

CHADBRADSWORTH had spoke in order to het SARAH’s attention. She had thought the matter pointless and did not want to look behind but knew that there are those who are unwavering in their attempts of gaining attention and she assumed the jock to be like that and had entertained the request. 

 

 

 

CHADBRADSWORTH 

Bet you never seen these kinds of skills 

Where ever you came from. 

 

ELIZEBTH 

What you mean your amazing skills at failing 

Yeah, I bet she has seen that anywhere else. 

 

 

CHADBRADSWORTH 

First of all, I don’t fail and second at least I  

Have skills unlike you Mrs Edgy 

 

ELIZEBETH 

I have skills I just do not need to parade them around  

Like a child trying to get attention from any body 

 

CHADBRADSWORTH unsure how to respond to such comment had merely stuttered and merely shown how badly he was beaten. Sarah had then shot a little smile at the Goth kids way and in return she shot one back though very weirdly. Mr PHILIP had finished preparing himself and was ready to start what he believed was going to be a good session for everyone that is involved. 

 

 

Mr PHILIP 

All right I’m ready and quite excited for this. 

 

CHADBRADSWORTH 

Why because you enjoy boring us to death 

With your weird lectures.  

 

Mr PHILIP 

That’s uncalled for Chad 

 

CHADBRADSWORTH 

I’m just saying what we all thinking  

Or at least some of it 

 

The two of them kept going back and fourth with one another in this pointless combat of words so far to the point where everyone had just dismissed it for pointless arguing at this point.  Sarah now being annoyed by the pointless antics between the two of them decided not to focus her attention on the two arguing and instead on the work that she had got out. In her attempt to do the work and tried blocking out the noise that was being generated in the room that was around her and tried to only think about what she could see in front of her and not try and think of anything else.   

 

 All of a sudden the lights in the room had gone out without any warning each person had a different reaction to what was occurring but the most common was the general feeling of worry.  

 

Mr PHILIP 

Its going to be alright everyone calm down the 

Lights went out that’s all I am sure they will come 

On in a second no reason to lose our … 

 

A strange noise had interrupted MR Philip as he was speaking being followed with a loud thud following shortly after that. 

 

Mr SMITH 

Mr Philip are you, all right? 

 

The lack of response had left the classroom filled with dread not knowing what has happened has left them worried as to what has happened and what could possibly happen again. 

 

Suddenly the lights return on and the detention group was filled with shock and horror as they see before them the dead body of Mr PHILIP lying in front of them. 

 

Then Title for the movie would run With “The detention that kills”
