synopsis

 Section 1

The event that take place in the thriller will contain mystery as it key theme as the event that take place in the thriller are taking place in a school as the story follows protagonist is a brave but moral grey protagonist that is the leading factor in the solving of the mystery in the the thriller as the event is set in a school and where the teacher has been murder as a blackout acquires and the teacher who is main teacher is killed and the helper teach is the next authority figure that is their however they have been quite during what has happened during that murder and all the other character are saying it is someone else.

Section 2

Three act structure

The first act is the murder of the teacher this important to the story as it sets the bases of the film as it starting factor that kick off the thriller as the light blackout and it make all the student confused on what has just happened leaving it up to the protagonist to figure out who has done it. The second act is where the protagonist is getting close to figuring out what has happened however in that time the killer has killed the other student except the helper child who has disappeared during all the events. The third act is where the protagonist has figured out why the antagonist of the film is the helper teacher and they start fighting leading to the protagonist killing the helper child.

The equilibrium of the story for are thriller is that the student are all arriving to the detention and are just sitting there patiently waiting for the detention to end.

The Disruption of the thriller is that the light cut out in the whole thriller shift speed as everyone is is shocked on what has happened to the teacher.

The recognition repair the damage is where the protagonist is trying to figure out what is going on and who murdered the teacher  

Equilibrium Again

The fixing of the equilibrium is where the protagonist has figure out who the killer is and is bring them to justice

Non linear

The reason why our thriller is non linear thriller is that it doesn’t follow the beginning,middle and end that most thriller follow as our thriller will be using flash back to do character development for each character and helping the story move forward

Inciting incident

The inciting incident in our thriller is that the light cut out and the teacher is dead when the light come back on  leaving everyone shock and in disbelief on what has just happened and then they start blaming each other. 

progressive complication

The progressive complications is that each character is being picked off one by one by the killer meaning that the protagonist is left to figure out who is killing them

Crisis

The crisis of the thriller is that the figuring out who is the killer and why this is happening to the character during the thriller 

Climax 

The climax of the thriller is that the helper teacher is the one killing everybody leading fight 

resolution

The protagonist has figure out who the killer is and is bring them to justice

Section 3

The first convention that we are going to use is mystery as it is the main theme of a thriller and this will be able to engage the audience and also lead into the second convention that we are going to use, suspense ,as suspense and mystery go hand in hand as they both play of each other and will go well with the thriller we are going to use as the thriller will have a murder that no one knows who has done it making mystery and suspense as the audience won’t know who the murder is and this will build suspense throughout the thriller till the climax of the film and the last convention is crime as our thriller is has murder in it.

The subgenres of our thriller are drama because the thriller will have unexpected and emotional moments that will allow the audience to relate and the unexpected and emotional can also like to the second subgenre that we have chosen being action because our thriller will incorporate action into scene such as a fight that happens between the characters and mystery because the storyline for our thriller is that the teacher is murdered but no one knows who did it.

The chosen theme is discovery because it goes well with mystery because the protagonist will get clues on how they will be able to discover who the murderer is, and the second theme is violence because our thriller will have violent scenes, one of which shows the teacher dead.

Section 4

Convention

The camera convention of our thriller is that  close up and high angle that will be using throughout the filming as it will be the most ideal camera shot and angle that will be most beneficial as we record are thriller. The use of the high angle allow for use to be able to show all the character during the scene as it will show all the character and their interaction with each other.The close up shots will be used for when character are surprised by something that happens in a scene and will be able capture the emotions and expression throughout the thriller.

Mise en scene

The Mise en scene that we are going to focus on most is the setting and the costumes of the character as these two will be the most crucial during the recording of the thriller. The setting of our thriller will be set in a school as the character are going to be in a detention where they are going to be in most of the thriller and other part of the school and to make this fit with setting that we have chose is the costumes as it has to match the setting we are going for mean that the costumes are going to be school clothes.

Sound

The sound we are going to use in the scene are going to be including diegetic and non diegetic sound throughout the thriller as the diegetic sound will be the dialogue of the character talking between each other as the thriller progresses and the non diegetic sound will be the the background music that will be playing during the thriller as it will not be a part of the natural environment of the thriller.

Section 5

Target audience is aimed at 16-24 and this will match up with the idea that we are trying to portray during the thriller as it will be the scene will be following the age specification as the scene the are for the age group and the thriller will be relatable to the audience. Original idea meaning that we haven't used other pieces of work before during and after the recording are done meaning that are work hasn't used any outside sources to make are thriller. Many of the techniques will be used in the thriller genre as the recording of the film will use convention of a traditional thriller this including suspense to capture the audience attention and allow for them to be entertained during the thriller and the other part of the traditional thriller is enigma/mystery of the film as our thriller will build mystery on who the killer is and give subtle hint on what is going on.
