Unit 3.3 Thriller mood board

"Upgrade" is a techno-thriller that is about a man who is a technophobe that gets a chip implant that controls his body after muggers left him paralysed  after a robbery. Scenes that portrays that this is film a techno-thriller (0:28) is when he is having the AI chip installed into his nerve system that will allow him to walk (0:32)on his own two feet after his operation. Later on in the trailer the main character has found a clue into who was responsible for his wife murder and him being paralysed, he has tracked down do a house of one of the perpetrators house and has entered and waiting for him to come home to ambush and to find out who else is involved in the mugging that killed his wife and paralysed him, however it take a turn for the worse as the mugger is see the main character in the refection of his Tv (0:59), a altercation happen that leading to the main character being choked out and pinned to the ground (1:03). Leading to the main character asking for the AI(1:04) to take over and he music in the scene changes as the AI take control (1:08), and starts to dominate the fight and the mugger is unable to land a hit(1:11 to 1:22) on the main character leading to the mugger getting a kitchen knife to try stab him(1:23), but it leads to the AI getting the upper hand and the Ai having the the knife at the mugger throat and is implied that he was killed as a knife sound affect plays and the body drop to ground implying that he killed the mugger(1:31)but he didn't have control over  his action when he killed the mugger as the AI was in control over his body as in the scene "You have full control again, Grey"(1:30).

"Get Out" is a psychological thriller that follows the black main character that is going to meet his girlfriend parent that live in a suburban area that consists of primarily white people and he is feeling hesitant about meeting them as they live in primarily white area but decides to go anyway. As they are making their way to the parent a dear jump out in front of their car making them swerve (0:30)and stopping to check on dear to see if it is still alive(0:36). 

Then the scene cut to the couple being questioned by a cop on where they are coming from, leading to the cop asking for black main character ID even though the girlfriend was the one driving ,leading to the girlfriend defending him(0:41), however this the first of many psychological tactics her family uses into making the main character fall in to believing that if she is protecting him and that the parent are also not discriminative toward him and as the trailer goes on to the parent meeting him they come of as welcoming and they treat him as if they have an new son in law (0:47)but this is another psychological  tactic set up by the family to trick him into believing that he is safe being  there. In the next scene it show the main character encounter the other black character but it implied that their is something off about them as they don't interact with him, and in the next scene it show one of the black character is running toward him but then suddenly turning just before the main character(1:02) and as the main character turn around the female black character is standing in the window staring at him(1:05).

 Transition to the main character talking to the girlfriend mom about quitting smoking, and transition again to him talking to both parent and how the mom is able to perform hypnosis to help with the main character stop smoking and then focuses on the mom stirring her tea and a clanging of the spoon against the cup (1:11)and then panning back to the main character implying that she has already started to be put under the hypnosis as his eye twitches after the clang sound (1:12). 

Then the scene transition to the parent inviting their friends to a party they are holding at their house leading to the main character meeting another black person who gives of the same atmosphere as the other character that he meet at the start and the friend does research about the area and he find out that multiple black people are going missing when they went their and it focuses on the a specific person(1:22) that the main character meet as one of the missing people(1:28) they interact and the main character tries to bump fist but the missing person shakes his hand instead, then cutting to another scene of the main character taking a picture of him and his facial expression changing and warning the main character to get out as his nosebleed and is pulled away.

The scene then transition to the family house and the main character wanting leave but the girlfriend not being able to find her key and the main character being knocked out.Transition again to the main character back to when he is talking to the mum who is putting him under the hypnosis as the scene shows him sinking into the bed and waking up in a chair bound to it and a man ready to do surgery to him ,but the main character get free and knocks out the surgeon and is about to open the door but the surgeon leaps on his back and is trying to choke him out.

The scene transition back to the party and everyone is looking at him giving of a creep atmosphere  as the trailer go shows that their is something wrong with the place but is being focused on more in the scene.

The last scene is the black women he meet at the start in the families kitchen(0:53) and she is saying "no" repeatedly and is crying in one eye showing that their is some thing off about her snd then transition to the main character and the woman in a car and fighting leading to the main character crashing into a tree and the scene turning into a montage of main character falling into darkness and a light shining down on him to ,him being screamed at by a skeleton of a dear with dramatic music playing in the background. Then to a man talking in the background saying the "a mind is a terrible thing to waste" enforcing the this is a psychological thriller.
